California Lizards
There are a lot of lizards in california that look very identical. However one common trait that all if not most of them share is their ability to regenerate a full tail once it has been detached from its own body. While scientists are still unsure why this is, they do know that it has to do something with differentiating stem cells near their tail. And they normally do it as a defense mechanism to run away from pray.

Snakes
Although it is not well studied some believe that certain snakes can survive and recover from injuries while have the ability to heal through migrating towards environments with hotter temperatures. However there is little scientific literature on this topic so far. They might be able to heal but only with human interaction.

leopard gecko
Like the Californian lizard, the leopard gecko can regenerate a tail back within weeks and can also heal their skin very fast. These lizards are usually found in countries in the middle east. They get their protein nutrition by eating insects.
